Once Burned

He's a monster. Or at least, that's what the locals tell me.

A man, a former firefighter, now scarred and burned.

They tell me to stay away from him, that he's no good and that he's beyond redemption.

But when he looks at me, the heat between us threatens to turn into a blazing inferno of passion. And when I look at him, all I can see is the hero inside.

Am I deluding myself? Is Dan really just a burned out husk of a man?

Or am I the one getting burned?
