Walking in Deep Sand

Follow the tumultuous journey of an adventurous woman whose husband is a US Foreign Service Officer serving in SE Asia and North Africa during the 1950s and 60s. She becomes known as an exceptional jungle pilot and eagerly travels by elephant to primitive villages. But Cynthia’s alliance with a mysterious Frenchman catches her off guard; her selfish pursuit of independence is almost her undoing.
