The Duke of Bedford has no idea his wife is also a spy or the role she played in his release from captivity. Only later does he discover the great sacrifices his wife has made for love and his welfare. Then, because he believes she has betrayed him, it may be too late to reclaim her heart, his unborn child, and ultimately her love.
