The Man They Freed (American Post-Civil War Westerns)

The only man who can stop the frontier’s most feared outlaw is the one locked behind bars. When President Grant offers imprisoned former army scout Jess Larkin a full pardon, he rides after the ruthless Luis Mateo, or the Wicked Warrior. But as he protects Nora Evans from Mateo’s brutality, the hunt becomes more than justice – it becomes personal.
