Rocky Road: The Appalachian Trail, A Dog, A Covert Operative and Life (Rocky Start Book 4)

Max — retired covert operative, reluctant human — is hiking the Appalachian Trail with his dog and on an assignment from Rose, who wants him to expand his social skills: talk to a stranger every day. Grieving mothers, runaway wives, a hiker who isn't what he seems. Max can handle a killer. It's the connecting that might break him.
