Tara Martin comes from a small town in West Virginia, but she is exceptionally brilliant. Her teachers convince her parents to allow her to go to school at John Hopkins undergraduate for her to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. On the eve of her graduation from Harvard Medical School, she meets Nathan Coleman.
