Down Low (Blood in Blood Out Book 1)

The emotional weight comes from betrayal unfolding step by step instead of all at once. By the time the truth comes out, the damage is already irreversible, which makes the confrontation feel earned instead of dramatic. I appreciated how the book kept me conflicted but ultimately sympathetic toward Reign. The ending is a strong hook into book two.
